What’s that? Did comedian Jerry Seinfeld really answer “Who cares?” when asked about diversity in comedy? Gawker reports that Seinfeld reacted with frustration when asked on “CBS This Morning” why his web series, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” features so many white men.

“Funny is the world that I live in. You’re funny, I’m interested. You’re not funny, I’m not interested,” Seinfeld told BuzzFeed business editor Peter Lauria. “I have no interest in gender or race or anything like that.”

So what’s the fuss? As Gawker’s Kyle Chayka writes, Seinfeld “seems to suggest that any comedian who is not a white male is also not funny.”!/mcmoynihan/status/430539700315508737

That’s a good point. It’s not at all what he said.!/BecketAdams/status/430534447356997632!/MZHemingway/status/430541029687963649!/exjon/status/430532691583201280!/MikeBeas/status/430533320837828608!/MikeBeas/status/430535121746161664!/SonnyBunch/status/430534688441384960!/NoahCRothman/status/430546342528974848!/seanmdav/status/430549790896951296
